Artwork by Autumn J. Short Story by Aaron Murillo In the kingdom of Winter's Edge, a place wrapped in the embrace of eternal winter, lived a community that found beauty in the stillness of the icy landscape. Villagers, dressed in thick cloaks, moved between wooden houses that seemed to emerge from the snow like enchanted shelters. In the heart of the village lived Eira, a curious young woman who was always looking for the magic hidden in every corner of Winter's Edge. One day, exploring the forest of snow-covered trees, she discovered an ancient door carved from ice that seemed to lead to another world. Intrigued, Eira opened the door and found herself in a magical place filled with glowing creatures. She was in the secret realm of Winter's Dream, where winter came to life in an amazing way. Centennial trees told stories with their ice leaves, and forest animals danced to the rhythm of the soft winter breeze. Eira marveled at the beauty of Winter's Dream, but she knew that she must return to her village. She shared her experiences with the villagers, who were excited to hear about the enchanted kingdom. From that day on, the Winter's Edge community organized annual expeditions to visit Winter's Dream and celebrate the unique connection between both worlds. Thus, each winter, the village immersed itself in the magic of Winter's Edge and Winter's Dream, weaving links between reality and dreams, proving that even in the coldness of winter, the warmth of community and shared magic could light the way.

Two stars There are, billions of stars And every star is a person All completely unique And all completely bizarre But see, this story’s about just two stars, And how they both glow bright Even When spotted from afar Like two little fireflies stuck inside a clear mason jar Each on a path to collide One into the other But they couldn’t care less Because they fear no destruction As long as they have each other. -By Tevin J. Starlight starbright First star I see tonight I look further Past simple sights Into deep space I wish tonight There still is much That’s left unknown From Bermuda seas To Cleo's tomb But my true wish Is deeper still Into deep space I send my will But if the force Of gravity Will pull me from The galaxy Then will my dream Be strong enough To travel space And dazzle stars? To embrace the sky Like asteroids And falling comets Through the void And have this wish I wish tonight I wish I may I wish I might -By Stephanie W . |
